Membership in the Law Review is open to all second year students in good standing. The selection process begins the summer following a student's first year.  Ten spots are reserved for those students who have demonstrated the highest academic merit during their first year.  An additional ten to twelve spots are reserved for those students demonstrating exceptional writing capacity. 

The write-on competition is intended to objectively measure students' writing capacities.  Students submit either a case note or comment regarding a topic chosen each year by the Board of Editors.  The submissions are judged on their degree of logic, analysis, organization, original thinking, and editing proficiency.
